Radhe Krishna - Watercolor

Quite for a long time I have been thinking to try my hands on watercolor, have been trying lot of techniques but yet to master them. First time trying Lord Krishna with Radha in watercolor, took long time leaving breaks for the colors to dry, to apply layers, required patience. Learned how the strokes and colors look after drying, ones looking dark are not goin to be really dark after drying :), I know there are lot to improve, please provide you suggestion and tips on where to improve and is there any other technique I can try to make it even better.

Om Nama Shivaya - Pencil Sketch

I am still struggling to get the realism, while drawing face, so mostly I never try sketching portraits. But this time I came across a wonderful drawing using white color pencil on a black medium, not sure it could be chalk also. I was really impressed by that drawing, and had in mind to replicate the same using pencil. And the day came, when I had to gift my friend, who is devotee of Lord Shiva, thought what special I can gift and sketched this.

The original picture I used did not have face, so it was easy for me to replicate the complete drawing without face. Everyone asks me to complete the sketch with face, but I dont want to lose the charm putting in my own creativity :)

Alexander, Porus, Bucephalus - The Climax

Bucephalus should be favorite epic character for everyone of every age. He is the majestic horse Alexander the great rode and won his battles. Poor ending was Bucephalus, died on war land fighting against Porus, Indian King who had war elephants. Bucephalus was firghtened, still he managed to continue fighting. If you want Alexander movie, this one last scene where his majestic black beauty jumps over to the elephant.

For a long time, I had this in my back floor to sketch, finally got time to complete this for this weekend. I did not draw this in detail size, this is A4 size and tried to depict the scene to the extent I can. Please your comments are welcome. Used 3B, 4B to complete this sketch.

Lord Vinayaka - Quick Sketch

This sketch was pretty quick, on a friday night started around 11pm and completed in 1.5hrs. Wanted to start straight away with the darker shades and decided to use only 3B Faber Castell pecil, with very light strokes and then fill up the shades.

Women's Day 2012 Drawing Competition

After almost a year after am back with my new drawing.. This was a request from my sister to participate in women's day competition. She wanted to project uniqueness of women, immediately which stuck my mind was Motherhood, which is the only one a man cannot feel, or experience, so kept that as concept and started my hunt on web, I liked lot of drawings, but with the 2 hour time I had, I could only draw this. First time tried this freestyle drawing.
We never expected anything, but just wanted to participate in the celebration, and to our surprise we won 1st prize in the competition... :)		 View in all sizes

Kailasanathar Temple - Pencil Drawing

Well this is one of my favorite drawing. As soon as I finished this, one of my friend liked it, so gave the original copy to her, and she framed it to have it in her work station. Now another friend of mine, played around my drawing a little and showed all his creativity. The image is the original Kailasanathar temple in Kanchepuram. Soon I will upload my original scanned copy of this drawing in full resolution. I used HB and 2B pencil to draw this. View in all sizes

Cow Boy - Pencil Drawing

Newly started with cowboy series. This one has the jean effect done well. Some told he is pissing standing that side ;) some found that he is actually having his hands inside his pants, but he is having his hands inside his jacket. Well how does it look for you ?
